POP'S LOVE SUICIDE
STONE TEMPLE PILOTS
It's off:"Tiny music... songs from the vatican gift shop"
I really like this song (actually i love all stp songs).
it's very easy to play. But what i really don't know is how
they get that strange distorted sound.
Standard tuning.
This is the intro and chorus riff:
E5 G5 A5 B5
e:--------------------------------------
B:--------------------------------------
G:------------------2----2-2-2--4---4--- X3 and then
D:--2----2--5----5--2----2-2-2--4---4---
A:--2----2--5----5--0----0-0-0--2---2---
E:--0----0--3----3----------------------
A5 Ab5 G5
e:------------------------
B:------------------------
G:------------------------
D:---7---6---5---~~~~~~~~-
A:---7---6---5---~~~~~~~~-
E:---5---4---3---~~~~~~~~-
verse riff:
G5 A5 G5 A5 E5
e:---------------------------
B:-------4-------------------
G:-----2/4-------2-2--------- played many times...
D:-5---2/4--5----2-2--2-2----
A:-5---0----5----0-0--2-2----
E:-3--------3---------0-0----
In the middle of the verse appears a second guitar.I think
it plays
this (it still uses that croutchy distorsion):
e:---------------------------
B:--0--2--3--0----2-2--------
G:--0--2--4--0----2-2--1--1-- I'm really not sure about this...
D:--0--------0---------2--2--
A:---------------------------
E:---------------------------
Then there is this part when Scott goes: "Although i really
don't know
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah... "
e:----------------------------------
B:----------------------------------
G:----------3----3--5----5--7----7-- Many times as well
D:--5----5--3----3--5----5--7----7--
A:--5----5--1----1--3----3--5----5--
E:--3----3--------------------------
Then theres the solo that i haven't figured out and thats it.
This how i play it. If someone knows a better cleaner way of
playing it,
please post it...
I was wondering if anyone could held me figure out any I
Mother Earth
songs from their second album...
Thats it for me now.
Have fun, drink lots of milk
